His whole world screeches to a halt, not unlike when Uncle Dutch’s phonograph stops in the middle of a song. The usual camp chatter is absent all at once as Jack, frozen where he stands, attempts to process what he’s looking at.

Aunt Mary-Beth’s piercing shriek splits the air, and a second later, Momma is grabbing him and holding him close, pressing his face to her skirts in an attempt to block his view.

Just a second too late.

(Or: Several events from Jack Marston’s childhood he doesn’t remember, and one thing he won’t ever be able to forget.)

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

something insanely meta about jack and tommy chatting about how it all sucked everything sucked and it was a mess and it hurt and no theyd never wanna go back but.. they miss it sometimes. to the way things were and how they felt. sometimes you just wanna go back

it’s the fact that so many of the soft, sweet moments of their friendship — watching dean’s favorite movies together, debriefing after hunts over the phone, the giving of the mixtape — happen offscreen, because they aren’t important to the story chuck is trying to tell. they were never supposed to care about each other so much. but they do, they do, so much that it can’t be ignored. it leaks its way into the text. light bleeding through the cracks. their love for each other literally transcends the bounds of the narrative.

I’ve just rewatched “Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?” and it’s funny to imagine that people who didn’t watch/don’t remember this episode might see these screenshots and freak out that it looks like they found out Perry’s secret

But nope Candace and Perry accidentally switched bodies when both went through a teleportation device at the same time

I know it’s a common trope in cartoons to do this type of episode and that when it happens the characters will keep their original voices as to not confuse the viewers but I kinda wish we could’ve seen Candace in Perry’s body only able to chatter and for Perry in Candace’s body to be able to speak in her voice (but only one line)

But that’s a just random thought I had and if I’m honest I do like that the show limits Perry from really “speaking” or how he’ll have only a few moments where he’ll write something down

He’s like Ferb in that sense! Both are rectangular shaped characters that only “talk” when they have something they want to say! (No wonder they’re my top 2 favorite characters)
